In Zeb’s Shadow
I hadn’t even considered the fact that Tea Party members would find the character of Zeb Colter to be in poor taste until I read a blog about how WWE’s fans on twitter were outraged by it. Well, I don’t remember anyone I follow complaining about it, but I guess it could be offensive in the same way that nerds find the characters on Big Bang Theory offensive. I find Zeb to be a fascinating character in the way that he looks different than everyone else in WWE’s six hours of TV programing a week, almost like he showed up from a forgotten magical era where moustaches dance on people’s faces as they speak. Personally I feel like most everything he’s said about illegal immigrants to be a rehash of what others have said before him, but he is captivating when he says it. His line about seeing “faces that don’t look like mine” still gives me the creeps.
