So Ryback’s matches on Smackdown kind of weird me out. Not anything he’s doing necessarily, but the segments of the other superstars watching him in disbelief and talking about how amazing he is. I know the WWE uses announcers to try and sell us on different gimmicks and angles, but this feels different somehow, like they’re trying to train me and show me how a good fan is supposed to act. If they went any further they’d be hiring people to sit on the couch next to me saying “See how good this is?! Why aren’t you buying the t-shirt and tweeting about it?”

Even Barry Stevens was more entertaining than him.
Good commentary; didn’t really see it like that at first but I agree.
Is that really what they’re doing? Oh, geez, haha.
By the way, who are those people in the first panel? I assume the female is Rosa, but I have no idea who the other 2 are.
I thought the female was Kaitlyn.
You’re so right about this. I think Ryback is somewhere between Goldberg and Crimson on the winning streak excitement scale. Closer to Crimson, obviously.
A sorry version of Goldberg im guessing?
It’s Hunico, Kaitlyn and one of the Usos I guess. I think Ryback is cool, I like his moveset so far, but it cracks me up that WWE is pushing 3 (THREE) squashers at the same time. Just make a triple threat match at Extreme Rules, so Ryback, Brodus and Tensai can sort this out.
Yep, it’s supposed to be Hunico, Kaitlyn and one of the Usos. We’ll say… Jimmy. I hadn’t realized that there were three different guys doing squash matches in the WWE, but at least Brodus and Tensai had actual name wrestlers as their opponents!
Yeah, and is it just me, or all of these unknown local guys have some sort of speech impediment? WTF WWE?
Ah, ok, I’ve never heard of Hunico and forgot the Usos exhisted. Honest case of mistaken identity with Kaitlyn, haha.
Worse was when it was the HALL OF FAMERS who are in awe of a SQUASH MATCH. Because these never happened all the time in their day.
I think it’s a lot harder to get a Goldberg-level killing machine over than it was ten years ago. I think Fans (myself including) are too impatient and just don’t accept a good squash match anymore. But when Goldberg was killing Glacier three times a week,I LOVED it.
Bring back the Horowitz!
