Botched Spot

Hey everyone!

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback on my “Olav’s Training Ground” series that I did last week!  I wasn’t sure I’d get all seven out, but it all turned out okay.  And while I can’t do seven strips a week every week, I’m going to go back to updating three times a week starting… tomorrow!  From now on I’ll update Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week.

When I started botchedspot.com I went with the Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday schedule because those were the days with less… watched wrestling shows on them.  However people say that the typical web-comic update schedule of Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule is the best way to go, so that’s what it’s gonna be!

See what happens?  I go to use Jeff Hardy as a role model for doing a new comic strip every day this week and then he goes and gets found unconscious in a hotel stairwell.  Alright, so it was a work, but I have to admit that for a split second there they had me.  Maybe it was the hotel part giving me flashbacks to Eddie, but I was concerned for a moment before realizing it was all fabricated.  Of course it helped that by the time I read about the incident all the dirt sheets had discovered it was a work, but I’m sure I would have figured it out eventually anyway.

Although I am psyched that Edge is the new champion on Smackdown.  Yeah, part of me feels like he could have spent a little more time away from the title, but as a loyal Edgehead I’m willing to let it slide.  I’m very interested to see how it plays out on Smackdown anyway with the four men involved in the title scene.

I have to say that I’m not all that interested in the RAW main event after Survivor Series.  Alright, so personal opinions on Cena aside, I’d much rather see Cena come back with a slower build to winning the title back.  With the title bouncing around so much before John comes in and wins it on his first try doesn’t really make it seem like there are many legitimate contenders to his title other than Randy Orton.

I suppose some who are not as into Edge as I am might say it’s a bit hypocritical to be excited about Edge coming in and winning the title right away while criticizing Cena for the same thing.  All I have to say is…  it’s not EXACTLY the same, right?  I mean Edge has a beard now, right?  That’s different.  Oh well, I’ll let myself be hypocritical today.  Today’s strip is my 100th after all (yay).
