One of my consistently favorite things about Impact Wrestling is how they give their segments a ‘reality tv’ type feel backstage. Rather than discuss secret plans in front of the camera like they don’t know they’re on tv, the wrestlers acknowledge the cameramen and shoo them away when appropriate. So why oh why did they use dramatic voice over for Jeff Hardy last Thursday? We can hear his thoughts? Maybe it’s a little nitpicky, but when something on a wrestling show reminds me of 90′s tv drama in the first five minutes, it’s a sign that something’s wrong.
Botched Spot fun fact: Other potential comic ideas for this topic were “Hardy McBeal” and “Hardilicity.”

No Botched Spot for the whole “Cut” segment when Aries and Anderson were fighting
This comic is so beautiful, it hurts to look at it.
Thanks for this, now my brain’s made up an entire list of similarities between Jeff and Angela Chase. A surprisingly large amount, even if he’s more of a Jordan Catalano.
Pardon my dorkiness.
Hardy’s Head (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herman's_Head) would have maintained the aliteration, but probably been lost on a lot of people… kind of like TNA jokes are often lost on me. Good stuff.
Lol Hardy McBeal!!! Good Ol TNA Drama
I’d go with The Wonder Years. That was a Jason “CUT!” Hervey moment.
The Hardy Years is the best one I think.
Karl, I am glad somebody else caught the “cut” as they were going to commercial. Lol do they not even watch their show and/or do quality control …lol
Y’know, I passed on the Wonder Years because the kid was narrating it from the future, but I forgot the Jason Hervey connection! That probably would have been better.
Reminds me somewhat of in 2010 when Winter debuted, and they had that angle where only Angelina Love, the commentators, the cameraman and the audience, BUT NOT Velvet Sky.
*waves fingers at your face and goes ooo*
