After careful analysis, I think this video shows it best. I’m not sure why I obsessed over finding the truth behind last Monday’s incident, but I guess I was hoping there was some way that Punk was merely defending himself. But nope, he just happened to hit the one guy who wasn’t pushing and hitting him.

It’s generally my policy to not victim blame, but all the men I know who like wrestling would have gotten their lives to be punched on TV by a wrestler. It would be the highlight of every conversation thereafter, even the ones about bill-paying and childrearing.

Actually, they guy Punk nailed forearmed punk in the back of the head while putting on his sunglasses. Personally I think that was just an excuse for him to hit Punk though, why would he need his sunglasses?

Of course he was defending himself. That guy shouldn’t have been standing 1 centimeter behind him. Punk was alone surrounded by idiots closing in on him and shoving, and he was obligated to stay and focus on Vince instead of get out of the crowd. Most wrestlers, and most anyone with a sense of self-preservation, would have done the same.
