Don’t Dedicate Matches When You’re Hungry. Grab a Snickers.
I was floored yesterday when I saw that WWE changed the name of the Fabulous Moolah Battle Royal. Floored! I’m so used to their motto of “any reaction is a good reaction” I never expect them to change anything that gets so much hate from fans. While there are plenty of other issues in WWE when it comes to wrestlers that they’ve honored, I’m glad they they fixed this one, even if it was only for their crispity crunchy peanut buttery sponsor, Snickers. Between Moolah pimping out the women she was training and… well really that’s enough, WWE shouldn’t be praising her, let alone making matches and trophies in her honor. If you want to know more about Moolah, there’s a great book on women’s wrestling called “Sisterhood of the Squared Circle” that talks about her complicated legacy.
