Dirtsheet Life
I recently found my third dirtsheet website to obsessively check throughout the day. Now you might think that three is excessive, especially considering they copy and paste pretty much the exact same news, but each serves a different purpose:
lordsofpain.net is a great place for me to get lots of news at once because they use minimal images and have lots of headlines per page in their archive, but once after I looked at it on my wife’s laptop it suspiciously got malware, making the site instantly banned from any device my wife uses (I think you’re innocent, LOP!). dailywrestlingnews.com updates often and has a clean looking website without any annoying ads like pop ups or in text ads, but they use tons of images so it takes forever to load on my phone. wrestling-news.net has a mobile friendly site, so that pretty much wins hands down if I’m on the go.
Anyway, looking at three different news sites made me wonder just how they pick their headlines. How do they pick between “D-Lo Brown released from TNA” and “TNA official released” when they are talking about the same article? Does one website not think D-Lo is a big enough name to warrant a headline? Maybe that would’ve made a better comic…
