Bayley Needs A Hug
I was underwhelmed by the WWE Draft last night and I think the six slots from NXT had a lot to do with it. While the final six picks of Finn Balor, American Alpha, Nia Jax, Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and Mojo Rawley aren’t bad, it really kills my suspension of disbelief that they wouldn’t pick other bigger names like Nakamura, Aries, Joe, Asuka, and, of course, Bayley. Out of “kayfabe,” I know WWE doesn’t want to lose all of their main NXT stars, but it’s hard to watch the Commissioners and General Managers draft guys like Mark Henry who doesn’t even wrestle anymore when you know who else is on the table. If Regal made a rule saying they couldn’t draft certain favorites of his maybe it would’ve been better, but I just kept waiting to hear Bayley’s name called, waiting and waiting… A lot of people are speculating that Bayley will be Sasha Banks’ mystery tag partner at Battleground, but even then she’s still the woman who wasn’t good enough to be drafted.
