Hey everyone!

Last night as part of my official bachelor party, a group of my friends and I went to a RAW/ECW house show here in Savannah.  My best man, David Haines, set the whole thing up as a surprise and, despite the fact that it’s finals week here at SCAD, the show was a ton of fun!  Matches included Morrison and The Miz vs. Crime Tyme, Goldust vs. William Regal, (the aforementioned) Divas tag match, Tyson Kidd with Natalya vs. Finlay, Jack Swagger vs. Christian, and the main event of Jericho, Ted DiBiase Jr., and Edge vs. John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Kofi Kingston.

In true Savannah fashion the sound system stopped working right at the start of the introductions in the main event, but the match more than made up for it.  Actually, the faces coming out to no music- only the sounds of the fans cheering- had more of an impact than the entrance music.  The whole show had a lot of action in it, great interaction with the crowd, and I think everyone left happy.  It was definitely one of the better house shows I’ve been to.

The highlights were the main event, the Miz and Morrison tag match, and the Finlay vs. Tyson Kidd match, if only for Natalya’s managing skills.  She was really working hard at keeping the crowd involved and focused on Tyson Kidd (as opposed to just standing there and occasionally clapping like some valets do).  As far as the low points of the show… just read the comic 😉  I promise this will be as journal comicy as I get.

Another highlight of the night (and my year thus far) was my friend Dave Wheeler waiting by the exit of the building for about 45 minutes for Edge to come out so he could get him to congratulate me via cellphone on my upcoming marriage.  It was only about a five second call as he was hurrying to leave, but it still reeked of awesomeness.  Too many Edge references…  Thanks David and Dave!

Aaand thanks for reading!
