I’ve rewatched that video a few times now, and I still think R-Truth didn’t aim himself at Miz perfectly, so Miz couldn’t have broken Truth’s fall without losing an arm or a tooth.
@M, Dave Meltzer agrees with you. R-Truth over-rotated in his roll, and all Miz had was ass and legs in his face to catch, and that’s just impossible to do anything about.
Not to mention, when was the last time you saw R-Truth do that? People who don’t do that normally shouldn’t be doing it at all.
@Adam: Whew. Glad I’m not the only one thinking that then. Seems like most people were quick to jump all over MIz. He would have had to be Mr Fantastic(or have some incredibly strong and flexible ankles) to have been able to get into position. Truth looked a little off angle as well, like he jumped too far to Miz’s left to begin with. Still, hope both of them(and the entire upper midcard that Big Show killed last Monday) make a solid and speedy recovery.
@M^: Sorry, I just rewatched that again and realised that my memory of the video was a little off. Seems he was in the same line, but Miz went a little further right as he was getting up, compared to his initial position. Ahh well, that’s the biggest danger of any dive where you can’t see the landing spot at times(anything like a somersault, or anything that isn’t a straight forward jump basically). You can’t adjust when you can’t see what you need to adjust for.
Wow. This describes NODQ.com perfectly. I make sure to never click those links.
Ha, very astute observations there, and so true.
Poor Miz looks so innocent. Just some dope listening to his iPod, not trying to cause problems with anyone.
Wait? There are nude pics of The Bella Twins? I’m gonna search for them right away! And awesome that Brock Lesnar returned!
