Summerslam, the biggest party of the summer, is here and while there are quite a few promising matches on the show, it suffers from the same thing all WWE pay per views have suffered from lately- a billion matches! Literally 13 as of this writing, which, by the time we get to the main event, will at least feel like a billion. On paper most of the matches look good though, so let’s quit wasting time and dive on into these predictions!

Rusev and Lana vs. Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega
Aiden English will accidentally cost Rusev and Lana the match. That’s been the story for the last month, right?
Who will win: Andrade and Zelina

The Bludgeon Bros. vs. The New Day for the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships
One of these teams has easily beaten the other before, and I don’t see how anything has changed since then.
Who will win: The Bludgeon Bros.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy for the US Championship
Orton is keeping Hardy from winning that title, so I think the King of Strong Style is holding onto it. Maybe Shinsuke and Orton have a handshake deal together?
Who will win: Nakamura

Cedric Alexander vs. Drew Gulak for the Cruiserweight Championship
I haven’t watched 205 Live in a month or so, but I’ll pick Cedric to hold onto the title because if WWE wanted Gulak to win, he would’ve had the title already.
Who will win: Cedric Alexander

Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin for no reason at all!
Finn won at the last pay per view, so…
Who will win: Baron Corbin

The B Team vs. The Revival for the Raw Tag Team Championships
The B Team already beat the way more popular Deleters of Worlds, so I don’t know why they would drop the titles to the Revival now.
Who will win: The B Team

Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens for the Money in the Bank briefcase
They’ve got all those “Monster in the Bank” shirts to sell.
Who will win: BRAAAAAAUUUUNNN!

Dolph with Drew vs. Seth with Dean for the Intercontinental Championship
Dean had that big return on Raw last Monday, so I hope he helps Seth win the title back. If not it will be kind of a big waste. Here’s hoping the crowd doesn’t start their own countdown clock just to be jerks.
Who will win: Seth with Dean

Daniel Bryan vs. Miz
In an alternate dimension where Bryan hadn’t wasted all that time with Big Cazz, this would be the main event. I know WWE wanted to wait for a big stage to have this match, but I still feel like this feud was way hotter back when Bryan was first cleared to come back. I’m still looking forward to it though, and I’m optimistically hoping that Bryan wins.
Who will win: Bryan!

Carmella vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship
Carmella has been terrible in the ring so far, so I’m guessing WWE will use this opportunity to get the title off of her before Evolution. The Lynch vs. Flair feud is the real story of the match, and I’m hoping Lynch turns heel to win since she’s been pretty much the same since her days back on NXT (post river dancing).
Who will win: Becky Lynch

AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship
AJ keeps getting these great opponents, but then the storylines suck. Joe’s amazing, but not even he could pull off his phony letter from AJ’s wife. I don’t doubt that AJ will retain though. He held the title through all of his Shinsuke feud, and I’m not sure WWE wants to end that for Joe.
Who will win: AJ Styles.

Alexa Bliss vs. Ronda Rousey
I’ve learned not to doubt Ronda’s in ring ability, although I can doubt Alexa’s plenty. I imagine they’ll have to get creative with interference from Mickie James and Alicia Fox in order to make it look like Alexa can stand a chance against Rousey. I think Rousey will win the title at Evolution though, so I’m expecting her to only win by countout or DQ here.
Who will win: Ronda Rousey by DQ or countout

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship
I’m tired of this feud. You’re tired of this feud. All I can hope for is that this match will end it. Part of me is hoping the end will be Roman pinning Brock clean so there’s less chance of a rematch, although Universal Champions don’t often get a rematch anyway, so maybe it doesn’t matter. At the end of the day though I’m hoping that Roman wins, so well played WWE. May this match get bombarded with a thousand beach balls.
Who will win: Roman Reigns
