Check out these signs my wife and I made for Extreme Rules! I took care of the pencilling duties, my wife inked them (as well as drew the goat), and we jointly got high off of markers by coloring them together (marker high= just a bad headache). This is your notice of what to look for, WWE camera crew- now don’t disappoint me.

And yes, I realize that Dolph won’t be at the pay per view, but AJ’s scheduled for a Diva’s Title match and they wouldn’t cut out a diva’s match, would they?

Well hello once again, everybody. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted a comic, but my time off has been well spent so far. In two days I’m actually going to see Extreme Rules here in St. Louis, so be sure to watch for me- I’ll be the guy in his twenties way far back in the cheap seats. Actually (time permitting) I may make some signs to take with me for the show, so I’ll post pictures of them depending on how they come out. Usually when I go to shows I don’t take signs because it’s an extra thing to carry, it’s always awkward trying to find a place to put them while sitting down, and it blocks the view of anyone sitting behind me. But the hell with them, because this time I’m going to take some! And if the WWE camera crew is smart they’ll show my AJ/ Big E. signs for the whole world to see.

How I Hope Aces & Eights Ends

Well, maybe this isn’t how I really hope it ends, but I’d like it better than the stable gradually breaking up and going their separate ways. I didn’t watch TNA live yesterday, or at least I didn’t plan on it, until the end when everyone I follow on twitter started complaining about the Hulkster chasing off Aces and Eights with the help of Sting. I was a little embarrassed to realize that- even though I was only watching to see how bad it was- Hulk drew me in to watching the show. I am part of the problem! I’ll go back and watch the episode on my DVR at some point, so I’m not going to feel too bad about it.

Spring Schedule Shakeup

I have an announcement to make about Botched Spot’s schedule this coming Spring- I’m shaking it up. Beginning next Monday and continuing through the next couple of months I’m taking a break from the whole “Monday, Wednesday, Friday” schedule and will instead post comics approximately a couple of times a week, with no real set days. I will still notify people about updates through Facebook and twitter though.

The reason why I’m doing this is because I want to take some time to seriously brush up on my website skills. It’s something that I’ve tried to do with my time in between my day job and Botched Spot for the past few years or so, but because I have such a small amount of free time it always gets pushed back further and further until there’s a month long gap between my study sessions. So now I’m making time by switching around Botched Spot’s schedule. This was not an easy decision, but it’s something I’ve been planning on for a while now, and I figured that the post-Wrestlemania season would be as good of a time as any.

So again, this is not an end to the site or anything, it’ll still update, it’ll just be on a looser schedule than what I’ve been doing for the last few years. I’ll still keep updating “Over Like Olav” on the same schedule too, which is pretty much the same thing- updating when I have a comic finished.

Thank you all for reading thus far, and I hope you’ll bear with this new schedule for the next couple of months. I think it’ll be worth it in the end.

First off, I know that a lot of people were hoping for a comic about “Fandangoing,” but some days I just gotta draw Mark Henry in a dress. Hey, we all have needs.

Ah, the end of another Wrestlemania! Y’know, overall I’d have to say that the show was pretty good, except for the snoozer of a main event. In some ways it felt vindicating to see the crowd completely dead during the overly hyped Rock vs. Cena 2 match, but I have a feeling that most will blame it on the lack of a buffer between the main events rather than anything having to do with the wrestlers themselves. Seriously though, restholds, countering finishers, walking around and staring at each other? Blech. I’m wondering if WWE will edit in cheering crowd audio for the DVD. Y’know, once they’re done editing out the foam that the smoke machine farted all over Triple H.

Other than that though I think the matches were pretty good, though very (expectedly) short. No real surprises or anything that I’d refer to as a “Wrestlemania moment,” but no complete disappointments either (refer to last year’s opening match to see why my expectations are so low). I’m just going to hope that the WWE take the hint from last night’s crowd and avoid giving us Rock vs. Cena 3. I’m not sure how many more times they can kick out of each other’s finishers.
