I really can’t imagine any way that Natalya can get through her new farting gimmick without getting called Natalya Neidfart of the Fart Foundation on tv at least once. I sincerely hope I’m wrong on that. I know we’re supposed to give gimmicks time before we judge them, and not crap all over them the first day, but I can’t see this going anywhere positive for Natalya.

But, in an effort to not seem too negative, I will say that Kharma’s return has me excited about the Diva’s division once again. If she has a singles match with Beth Phoenix at Wrestlemania 28 I bet it would rival Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania 22 for best Wrestlemania divas match of all time.

The WWE’s youtube channel has me intrigued with their new shows. I regularly watched “The Dirt Sheet” and “Santino’s Casa” on wwe.com back when those were still around, so if the new shows are anything like that, I’m sure it’ll be fun. I’m most interested in seeing what changes (if any) come about from “Z! True Long Island Story” now that it’s going to be on the WWE’s channel, like if Zack can still have non-WWE wrestlers like The Big O (I guess he’s a wrestler?) on there or if he can still mention his Dad’s man crush on John Morrison.

So I understand that Shane Douglas is planning another ECW Reunion show. I’ve been listening to his interview with Between the Ropes about it, and while his passion is obviously there and he has big ideas in mind, I can’t help but think of the other ECW reunions/relaunches through TNA and WWE and wonder if five years from now we’ll be hearing other ECW originals talk about how this most recent Extreme Reunion didn’t capture the original magic of the brand. I wish him luck and if it’s available online I’ll watch it, but how long can this ECW cycle really go on for?

Back when I was a kid Saved by the Bell was THE show to watch. Reruns on TBS anyway. So it was heartwarming to see Mr. Belding on Z! True Long Island Story, hear his interview about being a wrestling fan on Aftermath, and even see him on Raw. …but I can’t say I’m too disappointed that his twitition to become the new Raw general manager fell flat. I can only be a fan of his up to a certain point, and I actually think Big Johnny really hit his stride on Monday with his promo on Mick Foley.

It sucks about Evan Bourne’s suspension though. I was just starting to believe in the tag division again, and now one of the two teams is gone. If only Even Bourne paid more attention to Saved by the Bell…

First Prediction: The WWE will finally revamp their ridiculous Pay Per View schedule, but instead of removing shows as most people are hoping, they add ten more!

Well, that was wrong. The same number of PPV’s were kept, unfortunately, although they did change some of the names. I read somewhere that the number was reduced back down to 12 PPV’s for this year though. So I was wrong, but glad to be wrong.

Second Prediction: Matt Hardy will join TNA and reform the Hardy Boyz …Right before Jeff Hardy finally has his court date and goes to jail.

Matt joined TNA. Jeff had his court date and went to jail. Nailed it! Sure, they may have squeaked a tag match or two in there before all of their problems took them away from wrestling, but I’m still counting it.

Third Prediction: On the heels of “Legendary” and “The Chaperone” WWE [Studios] continues producing heart warming coming of age movies about kids with a WWE superstar playing [their] mentor. No matter how formulaic it gets.

Well, the year started off with “The Chaperone” and “That’s What I Am.” These were two wholesome movies about kids learning and growing and having wrestlers around them. But then came “Inside Out” and “The Reunion”. Triple H traded his fanny pack jokes for guns, and instead of Randy Orton going to the papers, John Cena was doing something involving shooting. So that’s two kids movies and two action movies… hm… I don’t want any ties, so I’m going to call this one a miss due to a technicality- In “That’s What I Am” Randy Orton played the father to a bully, rather than a mentor to the protagonist.

So that’s it for my 2011 predictions. One out of three. Not my best, but there’s always this year. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for Hulk Hogan adopting a baby.
