In the 10+ years I’ve watched wrestling, I’ve gotten pretty good about ignoring the commentary. I used to complain about announcers specifically, like Michael Cole, King, or JBL (except when he used to be less obnoxious) but then I see so many people (mostly from WWE) defending them, saying that the announcer job is really hard and they have to tell stories while calling matches in the ring and plugging the main event… so now I just say that I hate the WWE style of announcing. Sure, the job’s hard, and they have to do a lot, and I’m sure I couldn’t do it… but it doesn’t make it any easier to listen to.
