2015 Predictions, Part 2: Global Force Questions
As you might have guessed, a lot of the Jarrett responses in this comic are based off of his interview with Jim Ross on a recent episode of The Ross Report. While I look forward to watching Global Force Wrestling Presents New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 9, or GFWPNJPWWK9, as I’ve come to call it, I was a little shocked at how little Jeff Jarrett seemed to know about the future of his company just a week or so away from his opening show. Is the future of his company really so dependent on the success of someone else’s show that he can’t even give basic information like if GFW will be on TV or who will be on it? When trying to answer these questions, Jarrett was stammering like I did when I first explained to my in-laws how I planned to take care of their daughter with my pro wrestling webcomic. Ross wasn’t even grilling him hard or anything!
Regardless, I plan on watching GFWPNJPWWK9 on Sunday night. I would try watching it live, but I don’t think I could stay awake from 1:00 am to 4:00 am even if CM Punk was fighting Macho Man in the main event. Despite being a wrestling fan and having actually traveled to Japan, I’ve never watched a whole Japanese wrestling show, so I’m hoping this will make it way more accessible for me. As I write this I’m not even entirely sure what the card is, but for thirty bucks I’ll give it a shot.
