Hey peoples-

Sorry about missing last Wednesday (and posting late today) but I’ve been really swamped as of late.  Stuff’s starting to cool down though, and things should be good from here on out.  And in addition to today’s strip, I also put one up for last Wednesday with time stamp magic, so be sure to check that out too.

Due to the workload I’ve had as of late, I haven’t been able to watch as much wrestling, but I have liked what I’ve been seeing.  It seems like the WWE has been a little looser or crazier with some of their booking as of late, and I’ve been enjoying it.  Stuff like Regal turning out the lights.  It could be annoying if it’s overdone, but I think they’ve been hitting a nice balance.

Also the WWE made my week and then brought it all crashing down when I saw they FINALLY put out a Santino Marella shirt.  Finally!  And it looks good!  Sure, it’s a take off of an existing soccer shirt, but it’s cool enough so I could wear it in public and not get laughed at.  …but then I saw the bottom left corner…  “You Son A Ma Gun”?!  I swear, WWE!  I’ve been so close to buying so many shirts from them, but it’s killed by a little phrase that they tacked on seemingly as an afterthought.  You Son A Ma Gun.  I don’t know, man.  I may still get it, but I don’t know…

Anyway, I thought I’d also do some predictions for Judgement Day which comes up tomorrow night.  I personally won’t be watching it, but it looks like a pretty good show.

Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels

This has been an interesting feud so far, although I’m a little surprised that Batista has just kind of fallen out of it.  The match between these two should be awesome if it’s given enough time.  I’m guessing it’ll be storyline heavy with Shawn’s faking and all, so hopefully that won’t take away from the match.  Either way I pick Shawn Michaels to win.

Tag Team Championship Match: John Morrison and The Miz vs. CM Punk and Kane

Aright, I’m calling it now.  CM Punk’s turning on Kane.  I keep wondering why he’s been jobbing out so much considering he has to challenge for a World Title at some point, and then the idea of him turning heel hit me.  I think a heel turn (or some new angle) is what’s really needed now for him to be a credible contender for a title.  On a sidenote though, I really think Morrison and Miz have been a highly underrated tag team.  I think their both solid wrestlers and getting good heat (who doesn’t hate the Miz?) and I predict them, Morrison and Miz to win.

John Cena vs. JBL

It’s been refreshing to see Cena not be in the main event for a while (not just for Cena, but also the main event) and this seems like a decent enough filler feud for the time being.  I could it continuing since it hasn’t been given too much time thus far, and if it were to continue I think it would require JBL to win.

Women’s Championship Match: Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Melina

While I like Mickie and she’s my favorite of the three I’m a little doubtful when it comes to the odds of her retaining her title.  She’s a great wrestler, but other than her feud with Trish way back when, her pushes have been uneven to say the least.  Even her title win was a little out of the blue, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the championship found it’s way back to Beth Pheonix to open up for a Beth vs. newly-turned Melina feud.  I think this should be a great match though, and I officially pick Beth Pheonix to win.

World Heavyweight Title Match:  Edge vs. The Undertaker

I’m guessing this will be the last time these two face each other, and it’s hard for me to believe it’s not in some type of gimmick match.  Their past matches have been good, and I’m an Edgehead, so I’ve enjoyed the feud thus far, but I think it’s gone about as far as it can go.  I love Edge, but I think everyone’s ready for this feud to end, so I think The Undertaker will win.  What I really predict though is some sort of resolution between the Edge/ Vickie love angle.  We’ll see…

WWE Championship Match: Triple H vs. Randy Orton in a Steel Cage

Personally I’m not too excited by this bought, but it should be pretty sweet anyway considering the experience that these two have with each other.  And the whole feud’s been way more interesting this time around with Trips being the face and Orton as the heel.  I imagine that Regal will come out and play some part in the finish however, giving Randy Orton the win.

Wow, so I guess that’s it for Judgement Day.  Only six matches?  Maybe they’ll add some at the last minute or something, ’cause that’s pretty short.  No Big Show is somewhat surprising.  No Hardy’s or MVP is strange as well.  I think the matches that were announced should be worth watching, though, so we’ll see.

Anyway, thanks for reading everyone!
