Hey everybody! I just wanted to say thanks for the comments and support so far. I’m new to this, so it all helps.

So Wrestlemania has come and gone. I was hoping for a dynamic kick start to the WWE’s new wrestling year this week, but there didn’t seem to be too much.

I like the idea of a Shawn Micheals v.s. Batista feud, and enjoyed their segment on this last Smackdown. Just something about stretching kayfabe like that with Batista criticizing HBK for not doing a job and laying down ironically gets me to mark out. It should lead up to a pretty good match too, and I think that a heel turn is just what Big Dave needs to freshen up his character.

Vladimir Kozlov also debuted (or re-debuted) in a classic “monster heel debuting after ‘Mania” move. Okay, the only other wrestler I can think of who did that was Umaga, but you get my point. I’m not sure if Vladimir’s going to make it to the grand heights that Umaga has though. While having a Communist Russian may work for a cartoon character (hopefully?), I’m curious how they’re going to explain it for a wrestler today.

And Crime Tyme’s back. They were never my favorite team, and not the best in the ring, but they’re entertaining, and with guys like Khali still running rampant, I think that’s about all you can ask for these days.

A couple of things I found odd though were CM Punk losing to Chris Jericho right after winning MITB and also Matt Hardy fighting against MVP already. I like CM Punk, but he just seems to have no heat right now. Have people that don’t watch ECW ever seen him win? And for Matt Hardy and MVP, it seems like they could have stretched their feud out a little bit before we saw either one in the ring, especially with Hardy getting a clean win.

But I do have to say that Monday’s tribute to Ric Flair was an incredible class act by the WWE. The fact that they gave it so much time and it was the only time you saw some of their biggest names like Cena shows that Vince may not be so evil after all. In all honesty, I really don’t know a whole lot about Ric Flair’s history and career, but it was still a touching moment to see.

Other than that, Edge is having a rematch with Taker. Chavo’s having a rematch with Kane. Big Show’s still feuding with Khali. Okay, I know that last one just started last Monday, but somehow it feels like I’ve already seen it before and it’s been going on for a really really long time now.

But with all things said, I think it’s shaping up to be a pretty good summer for the WWE. With the draft lottery supposedly coming up soon, I’m interested to see what happens. Of course in last draft lottery Smackdown got such picks as Chris Masters, Torrie Wilson, and Eugene, so you never know.
