At the risk of losing my credibility, watching Impact Wrestling has made me see it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I’ve been forcing myself to watch it the past couple of months as part of my New Year’s Resolutions, and I dare say some parts are even good.
Now I want to make clear that when I say that I am not referring to their weak “Star Wars” tie in on last night’s episode, Garett Bischoff’s storyline, or really anything with Hulk Hogan or Eric Bischoff. I’m sure they were forced to due the tie in as part of some big Spike TV corporate parent company network thing, but comparing the Bischoff’s family feud to the Skywalker’s is a bit much.
But when I look at their women’s division, X-division, and even main event scene, I don’t hate it. I’ve seen worse in wrestling. I’m not going to buy any pay per views, but after I’ve watched an episode of Impact Wrestling I don’t feel like I’ve wasted two hours. And isn’t that really the best compliment someone can give a wrestling company?

I have the say that this was probably the funniest first panel I’ve ever read.
this is an actual quote about hogan right? i Can’t rmr but was he talking about kidman?
I love the last panel’s sad BOOOOP. I can just hear it.
What’s really stood out for me about Impact lately is the London crowd. The Impact Zone is always a really dead and weird crowd, but London is hot. It’s a night and day difference.
And I suppose Mr. Nanny was intended as a period drama then?
As much as I dislike TNA, I can give it that it has a lot of talented stars, especially the X-division guys. It’s a shame the show suffers from incredibly lousy booking and ridiculous angles.
I wasn’t copying any specific line from Hogan for this strip, it was just based off of the general way he talks about talent in interviews and such. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’d said something close to this before though!
