Don’t get me wrong, I like the commentary of wrestlers like Booker T, JBL, (briefly) CM Punk, etc… But when active wrestlers fight their way out of the ring, over to ringside and all of the commentators have to act concerned the illusion is ruined. Booker T’s supposed to be scared of guys like Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase? He was a world champion in WWE only five years ago!

Maybe it’s too awkward to do the spinarooni in a suit?
I always accepted that they’re not ready/not warmed up/clothed too restrictively.
How about Jerry Lawler? He’s there every week, can apparently hold his own against the WWE Champion, but never does anything either =p
I die a little inside every time Matt Striker, slicked back hair and all, cowers from an aggressive interviewee.
Glad to have you back, btw.
Thanks Edgar!
I can buy that they’re not warmed up and dressed right, but even in a suit I’d pick Booker in a fight between most of the active wrestlers.
Everyone knows they lose their super powers when they put on that silly little microphone!
To be fair about Matt Striker: He was pretty much a jobber his entire career, so odds are any wrestler on the roster would still be able to beat him up if he was still an active wrestler who was keeping himself in fighting shape.
