I am realizing how much a hipster wrestling gimmick could be annoying: “bringing back” the bodyslam, approaching Punk to tell him he knew of the GTS before it was cool and using obscure maneuvers just for the sake of obscureness.
A hipster wrestler would also have to constantly roll their eyes during matches to let people know they’re only wrestling in an ironic sense. I think it would be much more obnoxious than a Jersey Shore ripoff anyway!
